DALTON, NH – An 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured during a collision this weekend in Dalton that may have been a result of speeding, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
The accident happened on northbound Route 135, near Route 142, at about 11:23 p.m. Saturday, when the driver of a 2002 Volvo V70 Wagon, 19-year-old Dalton resident Dagan Webster, lost control of the vehicle.
The Volvo went off the left side of the highway, then collided with a guardrail multiple times.
18-year-old Littleton resident Isaak Labor was ejected from the rear window during the crash. He was taken to the hospital in Littleton, and from there was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon for the treatment of severe injuries.
Webster was taken into police custody on charges of misuse of plates, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving after the suspension and revocation of a license. He may also have been speeding at the time, per a witness’s testimony.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
