LOUDON, NH – A teenager was hurt after he crashed a snowmobile into a tree in Loudon on Tuesday afternoon, according to the New Hampshire Union-Leader.
The crash happened on private property in Loudon at about 3:30 p.m., when the 18-year-old boy—who was not publicly identified—crashed his snowmobile into a tree.
He was then taken to a local hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. The victim was reportedly not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.
No other injuries were reported in the collision.
Authorities say the teen was traveling at a high rate of speed, and perhaps with not enough snow cover for safe driving. Operator inexperience was also listed as a factor in the collision.
