CANTERBURY, NH – A 20-year-old was killed and another man was injured after two dirt bikes collided on private property in Canterbury yesterday, according to CBS Boston.
The accident happened when the 20-year-old man and his 21-year-old riding partner crashed into each other in a field located on family property.
Despite first aid efforts made by other family members, the 20-year-old man died at the scene.
The other victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment of critical, life-threatening wounds. Both riders were reportedly wearing proper safety gear when the accident happened.
Authorities believe that the riders were going at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred, and that inattention might also have played a role in the collision.
Neither of the victims has of yet been publicly identified.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash at this time.
