MANCHESTER, NH – A four-year-old boy was killed in Manchester yesterday when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, according to CBS Boston.
The accident happened in an alleyway near the intersection of Schuyler Street and Flaherty Lane at about 3 p.m., when the 39-year-old driver of a pickup truck attempted to turn right, then struck the victim.
The driver stopped near the scene of the accident. No charges have been filed against him as of yet.
Police found the boy in the alleyway, unresponsive.
The victim was described by a neighbor as a “very nice” and “gentle” child, and the neighborhood has reportedly been devastated by his death.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision at this time.
