WENTWORTH, NH – A man died Monday morning after his lumber truck rolled over on Mt. Moosilauke Highway, according to the Union Leader.
Police believe the victim, 65-year-old Keene man John Hope Jr., was driving a flatbed truck full of lumber when he executed too sharp a turn on Route 25 around 7:15 a.m.
Initial investigation shows that Hope likely encountered heavy fog and overcorrected his turn to remain on the roadway, causing the truck to tip and roll over.
Officials are still investigating this accident but believe that some distraction was likely a factor in the accident.
