Crash Alert: Cyclist airlifted to Boston hospital following Wilton crash

WILTON, NH – A bicyclist was rushed to a hospital in Boston to be treated for critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Wilton Tuesday evening.

According to the Nashua Police Department, the male cyclist was hit at about 6:45 p.m. while he was riding along Gibbons Highway near the intersection with Abbot Hill Acres Road.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a DHART Medical helicopter, which flew the man to a Boston hospital to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the collision remains underway. Officials have ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.
