MANCHESTER, NH – Authorities responded to an accident caused by a driver crashing into a home on Maple Street in Manchester yesterday afternoon, according to Manchester Ink Link.
The collision happened at a home near Laurel Street and Maple Street when a driver failed to stop at the stop sign, but reportedly did so in the middle of the intersection. A second driver, operating a white Ram pickup truck, then swerved to avoid a collision. The second driver lost control of their vehicle, and then went through a fence and into a driveway, where they crashed into a blue Toyota Prius parked nearby.
The impact sent the unoccupied Prius into a nearby garage, while the Ram finally collided with the porch.
The driver was evaluated at the scene and was determined to be uninjured.
Authorities determined that the porch was overall stable despite having sustained damage to one post. They shut off the garage’s access to electricity, however, as a precaution.
