CONCORD, NH – New Hampshire State Police responded to calls about a crash on I-93 early Sunday morning and discovered the body of the driver and her uninjured young son.
According to Patch, the accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. Sunday on I-93, near mile marker 42.
The victim, 33-year-old Elisabeth Philbrick, drove her 2018 Hyundai Elantra off the highway and into a grove of trees 30 feet down an embankment.
Police believe Philbrick was speeding at the time of the accident.
Philbrick’s 5-year-old son was found unharmed and was transported to Concord Hospital for assessment.
Police have not confirmed whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident.
The highway was closed for about five hours while officials investigated.
