Crash alert: Girl hurt after snowmobile collides with trees in Pittsburg

PITTSBURG, NH (COOS COUNTY) – A girl was hurt after her snowmobile crashed into multiple trees in Coos County this weekend, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

The accident occurred on Trail 142 in Pittsburg on Saturday, when a girl, whose hometown and age were not immediately released, was riding in a group with other snowmobilers.

She was unable to effectively manage a turn downhill, and her vehicle crashed. The snowmobile collided with multiple trees before coming to a rest.

The victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

Authorities believe she was driving the snowmobile too fast for conditions, and that her inexperience played a role as well.

The New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game reminded snowmobilers to take care when operating a vehicle in powdery snow.
