Crash alert: Maine man helping injured cat is fatally struck by car in Rollinsford

ROLLINSFORD, NH – A Maine resident attempting to help an injured animal was fatally struck by a vehicle in Rollinsford earlier this week, according to WMUR.

The crash occurred on Monday on Portland Avenue (Route 4), near Short Street, as 30-year-old Michal Wing, of Sanford, Maine, was helping an injured cat. He was then struck by a passing vehicle.

Wing was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated with the investigation. Police have stated that Wing was wearing dark-colored clothing when the crash occurred.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
