BRENTWOOD, NH – A man was injured and is facing charges after he allegedly struck a garbage truck while driving under the influence in Brentwood on Monday afternoon.
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, the accident happened on Route 27 and North Road at about 3 p.m.
The driver of a grey Audi sedan was reportedly traveling at a high speed when he was unable to round a turn, causing the vehicle to go over the median and into the lanes of oncoming traffic.
The sedan then collided head-on with a Waste Management garbage truck.
The driver sustained minor wounds in the crash.
The truck driver was not reported as injured.
The driver of the sedan was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
