BEDFORD, NH – A man from Manchester was seriously injured when his convertible overturned on the Everett Turnpike in Bedford this afternoon, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
The crash occurred on the off-ramp for Exit 13 of the F.E. Everett Turnpike S in Bedford at 1:35 p.m., when 62-year-old Manchester resident Dennis A. Smith lost control of a 2002 gray Saab 9-3 convertible. The convertible then went off the left side of the ramp and rolled onto its roof.
Smith suffered severe, non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. He was taken to Elliot Hospital for treatment.
Authorities believe speed may have been a factor in the accident. Their investigation, however, continues at this time.
