Crash Alert: Man stole parents’ car, crashed into another vehicle

MANCHESTER, NH – A man stole his parents’ BMW and then crashed it into a vehicle containing a family and their dog on Interstate 93, causing that vehicle to roll multiple times.

WHDH News reported that Patrick Giberson, 36, stole his parents’ 2020 BMX X3 on Monday before colliding with a 2017 Subaru Outback. A man, woman, and their infant daughter were in the Subaru at the time, and all three were transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment.

Giberson fled into the woods near the highway following the accident but was soon apprehended by police near 320 Gibson Road.

According to WHDH, Giberson will be charged with the following crimes: “reckless conduct, conduct after an accident, vehicular assault and reckless operation from state police, two counts of criminal threatening, and two counts of domestic violence.”
