MANCHESTER, NH – A motorcyclist was killed after he crashed into a box truck on I-93 in Manchester on Wednesday morning, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
The crash happened on I-93 N, near mile marker 19.6 and the Exit 6 off-ramp, at about 5:40 a.m.
28-year-old Manchester resident Sean MacDonald, operating a 2006 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle, reportedly went across multiple lanes of traffic just before he crashed into the back of a box truck being driven by 26-year-old Alton man Cody Hannaford.
The motorcycle then crashed into a guardrail, causing MacDonald to be ejected and the vehicle to travel across all lanes of traffic. It finally came to rest in the center median.
MacDonald was pronounced dead after the crash.
Hannaford was not reported hurt after the accident.
The right lane of traffic was closed for about two hours following the crash.
The collision remains under investigation.
