SUTTON, NH – A man is dead and another is severely injured after being ejected during a crash on I-89 in Sutton on Friday afternoon, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
The accident occurred near the Sutton Rest Area on southbound I-89 at about 4:45 p.m.
42-year-old Nashua man Glenn Levesque lost control of his 2015 GMC pickup truck, causing his vehicle to go off the left side of the road and onto the shoulder. He swerved to the right, and the pickup truck went off the right side of the highway and into the tree line. The pickup truck overturned, causing Levesque and his passenger, 35-year-old Nashua resident Jonathan Mainguy, to be ejected from the vehicle.
Mainguy died at the scene.
Levesque was airlifted to the hospital to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
