NEW IPSWICH, NH (HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY) – One person was airlifted to the hospital in Boston following a house fire in New Ipswich on Wednesday morning, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.
Firefighters responded to 602 Turnpike Road at about 5 a.m. to discover a home engulfed with heavy smoke. Two people were trapped on the roof of a porch when authorities arrived.
One person was airlifted to the hospital in Boston with severe, life-threatening injuries.
The other person was not reported as hurt.
The blaze remains under investigation at this time.
