MERRIMACK, NH – Two people were killed in a fiery, two-vehicle crash on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack early yesterday morning, according to the New Hampshire State Police.

The accident happened on southbound Everett Turnpike, near mile marker 16.6, at 12:12 a.m., when a 2009 Honda Ridgeline and a 2016 Audi Q5 collided head-on.
At least one of the vehicles burst into flames, and the crash caused all three southbound lanes of traffic to be blocked.
Both drivers died at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified the victims.
Southbound lanes of traffic were closed for about two hours as authorities worked the collision. Drivers were detoured to Exit 13, near Bedford, in the meanwhile.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
