SALEM, NH – A portion of Main street in Salem was shut down after a driver crashed into a utility pole on Monday morning.
According to the Eagle-Tribune, the woman suffered a medical emergency and crashed near Granite Avenue at about 11 a.m.
Police say the woman suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel and crashed into the pole. Witnesses report hearing a large explosion and bright flash when the accident occurred.
The woman was transported to Holy Family Hospital in unknown condition.
The pole fell over as a result of the crash, causing significant delays in the area.
