CONCORD, NH – A woman in her 60s died last Thursday after being hit by a car, pinned underneath it, and dragged for 50 feet near Main and Thoreau Streets.
The driver of a Toyota Corolla Matrix hit the woman at around 10:30 a.m. on August 13, while the pedestrian was using a crosswalk, according to WCVB 5. It took rescuers about 20 minutes to lift the Toyota with a jack and remove the woman from underneath it. Witnesses and authorities said the driver of the vehicle appeared to be in shock.
The accident is still being investigated by Concord authorities, and the driver has not been charged.
