SALEM, NH – A woman was taken to the hospital and is facing charges after she allegedly collided with a truck while driving under the influence in Salem on Tuesday morning, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
The collision happened on I-93 N, near the off-ramp for Exit 1, at 2:51 a.m., as the 26-year-old driver of a 2009 Subaru Forester, Anne E. Bell, of Albany, New York, was reportedly driving the wrong way on the off-ramp, against the flow of oncoming traffic.
Her vehicle then collided head-on with a 2016 Isuzu box truck.
Bell was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. She was then taken into police custody on charges of reckless conduct and driving while intoxicated.
The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.
She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled for arraignment on July 8 at 8 a.m.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
