CHICHESTER, N.H. – One person was killed, and another suffered severe injuries in a three-vehicle crash in Chichester.
According to NECN News 4, the crash occurred just after 4:15 p.m. on Suncook Valley Highway near the intersection with Mayflower Drive. A 91-year-old man was killed, and a 71-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries in the accident.
Investigators believe the 91-year-old driver was driving northbound on the highway when he crossed the center line and struck the woman’s car head-on. The force of the collision sent her car skidding into the northbound lane, where it collided with a pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old man.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pronounced the first driver dead at the scene. The woman was transported to Concord Hospital for treatment. No details have been released regarding her condition at this time.
