ANDOVER, NH (MERRIMACK COUNTY) – A man is facing charges after an alleged DUI motorcycle accident in Merrimack County this weekend that caused the death of his passenger.

According to WCAX, the accident happened on Route 4 at about 9 p.m. Sunday night when Hooksett man Dennis Boucher, 42, lost control of his motorcycle while rounding a turn and was then ejected from the vehicle.

Police believe that he was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.

ROCHESTER, NH – A husband and wife were both killed in a car accident on the evening of Friday, Sept. 19, on Washington Street near Rochester Crossing.

According to WMUR, the accident happened around 9:15 p.m. The victims were identified as James Hughes, Sr. and Suzanne Hughes, both 59.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident, but believe the Hughes’ were driving west on Washington St when they crashed into an oncoming car driven by a 32-year-old man. Two passengers in the oncoming car were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

NORTH HAMPTON, NH – A Hampton motorcyclist is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a 72-year-old driver struck him with her vehicle on Route 111 and Route 151.

New Hampshire State Police arrived at the intersection at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and transported the motorcyclist, Richard Moore, to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Police determined that the 72-year-old female driver of a vehicle collided with the motorcyclist, but officials have not released more details, according to WMUR.

The driver of the car was uninjured. Moore was airlifted to Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital after several hours at the Portsmouth hospital.

HANOVER, NH – A 44-year-old school bus driver from Canaan died Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency and crashing the vehicle into a guardrail.

According to AP News, 44-year-old Heather Billingham was transporting 12 students inside her bus when she experienced an unspecified medical emergency, crossed the centerline, and hit a guardrail. Billingham was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she later died.

AP News reports that the students were transported to a different bus, which was itself involved in collision with a passenger vehicle. No one was injured in the second crash.
