BEDFORD, NH – A man from Nashua is facing charges after he collided with a toll booth in Bedford on Monday morning, according to the Nashua Patch.

The accident occurred at the Bedford Toll Plaza on Everett Turnpike at about 9 a.m.

31-year-old Nicholas Matthews, operating a silver Cadillac sedan, struck a concrete abutment with the front-right side of his vehicle.

LONDONDERRY, NH – One person suffered serious head wounds after ice flew through the windshield of his car in Londonderry on Sunday.

According to the Londonderry Patch, the accident occurred on Nashua Road, near Young Road, when ice from a Ford truck was hurled at the windshield of a grey sedan. The ice broke through the windshield, causing severe head injuries to the driver of the sedan.

The sedan driver, who has yet to be publicly identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

SEABROOK, NH – One person was ejected during an accident this afternoon in the Seabrook area, according to Rockingham Alerts.

The accident happened on Railroad Avenue, near the Town Garage, just before 2 p.m.

While there are scant details available on the accident, the collision caused at least one vehicle to roll over.

MERRIMACK, NH – An elderly woman was killed after her 19th-century home caught fire in Merrimack last week, according to WMUR.

The accident happened on Harris Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, when a wooden, New England-style home caught fire. According to the State Fire Marshal Paul Parisi, the home did not have a functional smoke detector.

The victim, 81-year-old Shirley Mae Gordon, was found dead inside her home after the fire was extinguished.

PORTSMOUTH, NH – A Connecticut man is facing DWI charges after a collision in Portsmouth early this morning, according to a press release by the Portsmouth Police Department.

The accident happened at 495 Ocean Road at about 12:10 a.m. when 26-year-old Rao Ashish, of Danbury, Conn., went off the side of the roadway and then collided with a mailbox.

Ashish drove across a front yard before colliding with a car that was parked in the driveway before coming to a stop.

NASHUA, NH – A car accident on a highway in Nashua this afternoon led to closures and traffic delays, according to a tweet posted by the New Hampshire State Police.

TILTON, NH – A pedestrian was killed and another was seriously hurt after the victims were struck by the driver of a pickup truck in Tilton yesterday, according to WMUR.

The accident occurred at about 4:45 p.m., near the intersection of Sherwood Drive and East Main Street, when a pickup truck headed east on Main St collided with a 36-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman who were crossing the street.

The woman was taken to the hospital in Concord, where she was later pronounced dead.
