ROCHESTER, NH – A 73-year-old driver from Maine was hurt after she crashed into a toll booth in Rochester last weekend, according to WHDH.
The accident happened in the Rochester Toll Plaza of Rt 16 at about 4 p.m. Sunday when the driver of a 2018 Subaru Outback collided with a support structure.
The impact sent the vehicle into the air, and it finally collided with a toll booth. Fortunately, the booth was vacant at the time.
DERRY, NH – A 12-year-old boy suffered serious injuries last week when a go-cart rolled over in a Derry backyard and trapped him and another child inside the vehicle, according to a report by the New Hampshire Union Leader.
The accident happened on a private track at about 3 p.m. Thursday when one of the boys attempted to make a turn. The vehicle rolled over onto its side, trapping him and another 12-year-old boy in the wreckage.
The boys, both from Derry, were extracted from the crash by emergency personnel after a worried neighbor called 911.
LOUDON, NH – A teenager was hurt after he crashed a snowmobile into a tree in Loudon on Tuesday afternoon, according to the New Hampshire Union-Leader.
The crash happened on private property in Loudon at about 3:30 p.m., when the 18-year-old boy—who was not publicly identified—crashed his snowmobile into a tree.
He was then taken to a local hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. The victim was reportedly not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.
FRANKLIN, NH – Two people were hurt after they were hit by a driver while they were crossing the street in downtown Franklin last week, according to the Laconia Daily Sun.
The accident happened on Thursday, at about 7 p.m., at Prospect St and Central St as two Franklin residents, Jeannine Ramsdell and Amador Padilla, were crossing at the intersection. They were then struck and injured by a driver named Christine Lewis.
Padilla suffered a possible leg injury and was taken to the hospital in Franklin for treatment. His injuries are reportedly not life-threatening. Ramsdell also suffered undisclosed injuries that were minor enough to be treated at the scene.
WOODSTOCK, NH (GRAFTON COUNTY) – A 14-year-old boy was hurt in an ATV rollover crash in Grafton County last weekend, according to NECN.
The accident happened Saturday in Woodstock as the driver, a boy from Charlton, Massachusetts, was traveling with a group.
He missed a turn, and in attempting to correct the mistake, rolled the ATV down a bankside.
LONDONDERRY, NH – A worker was killed at a job site in Londonderry yesterday when he was hit on the head by a piece of construction equipment, according to WMUR.
The accident happened on Michels Way yesterday afternoon when the victim, a man in his 50s, was struck on the head by a cable that snapped while he was working a drill machine.
Despite having been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the victim died after being taken to the hospital for treatment. He has not been publicly identified.
MERRIMACK, NH (HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY) – A man has died from injuries he sustained in a dramatic, fiery collision, which at one point involved the victim being trapped beneath his blazing vehicle, in Hillsborough County this weekend.
According to WHDH, the accident happened on the Everett Turnpike near Exit 10 at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday when the driver of a 2014 Subaru lost control of the vehicle and ran off the side of the road.
The driver, 38-year-old Goffstown man Charles Daly, then collided with a guardrail. The vehicle then swerved to the opposite side of the roadway and hit a barrier before it rolled over an unspecified number of times.
ANDOVER, NH (MERRIMACK COUNTY) – A man is facing charges after an alleged DUI motorcycle accident in Merrimack County this weekend that caused the death of his passenger.
According to WCAX, the accident happened on Route 4 at about 9 p.m. Sunday night when Hooksett man Dennis Boucher, 42, lost control of his motorcycle while rounding a turn and was then ejected from the vehicle.
Police believe that he was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.
