Crash Alert: Lowell Man Facing Charges After Dragging 2 Officers With Vehicle in Hooksett

HOOKSETT, NH – A man who had passed out while driving in Hooksett on Thanksgiving morning is facing multiple charges after he allegedly dragged two officers with his vehicle when they attempted to bring him into custody.

According to WHDH, the suspect, 28-year-old Quincy Suh Ambe, of Lowell, was reportedly passed out in the middle of I-93, near Exit 9S, at about 6 a.m.

The vehicle was parked in the center of the roadway while still running, without its lights on, and Ambe was found hunched over in the driver’s seat. He did not immediately wake up, despite multiple attempts by police to rouse him.

After EMT officials arrived at the scene and allowed N.H. State Troopers to gain entry to the vehicle, Ambe woke.

A struggle between Ambe and the officials broke out, during which time he reportedly attempted to drive away from the troopers, causing them to be dragged by his vehicle.

The two officers were not reported as injured.

The officers used a taser on Ambe while taking him out of the vehicle and taking him into police custody.

Ambe was not reported as injured during the struggle or after being tased, and he is said to have refused medical attention.

He is facing charges of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.

"In the late summer of 2015, I had the misfortune of falling in a public place of business through no fault of my own. I was seriously injured, both my legs, which resulted in almost 6 months of modified bed rest and convalescing. Needless to say, I was completely overwhelmed with doctors; specialists; physical therapists and many other wonderful people. As if this was not daunting enough, it was told to me, in this time of utter chaos, I needed to engage an attorney. I have never had to hire an attorney..." R.W.W.
